It's one of my unoriginal pleasures to shift the narrative (just like I sometimes use the idea that Orcs are more technologically advanced and live in a sophisticated society, and the evil portrayal is Elvish propaganda). But the people of Marach are no better than Noldor as they wish to establish a trade route to assert economic control over Beleriand and Arda (in this verse, the people of Marach are the ancestors of the Rohirrim).
