Title: As little might be thought
Text type / Format: Ficlet, Prompt fill
Source / Fandom: Silmarillion
Rating: T (expletives, intense arguments)
Word Count: 1000 (!)
Summary:

Elros appears — hair half-unbraided, clad only in trousers. “If it isn’t the return of the Noldor,” he jeers, leaning against the door frame with his arms folded.

Snarling, Maglor stalks closer. Maedhros keeps his distance. "Out,” Maglor commands. “Now.”

Get f----d,” Elros says, his Quenya perfectly accented. Elrond blinks; he never realized Elros paid Maglor’s lessons attention. “You heard me, you murderous bastards,” Elros says, unintimidated. "F--- off and take your jewel-fetish with you. I've got something you can swear on – ”

Maglor lunges but Maedhros is quicker, and he pulls him back.

~~~
Given his first taste of freedom, Elros pushes his limits.
Thank you very much for your engagement with this community over the last year!
As previously, the December challenge is a prompt amnesty.
Although our challenges don't expire and prompt fills can be posted at any time, this is a special invitation for you to write any idea a prompt may have given you and that you didn't get around to writing, or complete a prompt fill you had started working on, or cross-post something that you wrote for another challenge with one of our prompts in mind and never got around to posting here.
Also, you can just pick any previous prompt or challenge that tickles your fancy and recombine prompt elements, too, if you like. For your convenience the prompt list is copied in below.
Usual reminder that although you can fill the prompts in any way you like, in order to post the fill to this community or to the related collection on AO3, the fanwork can only have a word count up to 1000 words and must be linked to a Tolkien fandom.
Rec lists and podfics can be posted as fills for thematic prompts, as long as the fanworks concerned meet those conditions.
Also we continue to welcome other pieces unrelated to any challenge, of course, including cross-posts and older stories, as long as they meet the criteria!
