This has taken me a ridiculous amount of time to complete. One whole year in fact, coming off the back of Writer's block and complete loss of enjoyment. I'm not proud of it, but I'm glad I've finished it.
I also wanted to add so much more to this, but unfortunately the word count was through the roof so I had to sacrifice some scenes.
The Prompt: "First flower" and I suppose I could include this last month's prompt as well. "New Beginnings" if memory serves me.

Title: A Star In The Darkness
Text type/Format: Html
Source/Fandom: Silmarillion
Rating: Gen
Word Count: 800+
Summary: After enduring the grinding ice, and the reality of braving a harsh and dangerous new world, an exciting endeavor to settle an uninhabited land presents itself for Angrod and Eldalotë. And for the House of Finarfin and their people it is a chance to live the life they had dreamed, free of the Valar's constraints. But to the north the gates of Angband loom, dark and menacing; a black choking cloud in an otherwise joyful occasion. Could they make the most of what they have or will they allow the darkness to consume them.
This is an entirely un-beta'd work.
